Games are sometimes the best thing ever. You get to be in another world and sometimes forget about your own life. Other times, they're the worst thing ever. Especially when you can't beat a boss, or you're stuck on the same level for hours. Sometimes, games are just copies of movies or other popular culture phenomena, and you feel like you're just going through the motions. But sometimes, you find a game that's original and fresh, and you fall in love with it. When that happens, it's the best feeling in the world. So even though games can be frustrating sometimes, they're still worth it because of the moments when they're everything you ever wanted.

After the video game industry crash of 1983, “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial” could have been one of the last games ever made, and honestly, that would have been understandable. Here are some of the worst offenders in the “movie-to-video-game” pipeline (so far, anyway).

E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial 1982 CRACKED.COM As one of the first movie tie-in games ever, it had nothing to be compared against, and yet it still sucked. The insanely rushed 5-week development time resulted in shockingly ugly visuals, even for the time period, and confusing gameplay that has nothing in common with the movie.

We all love wanton destruction, especially as a 3 ton killing machine with a one track mind, but how many times can you bite a scuba diver in half before it gets boring?
