If you're a movie buff, then you know that movies are packed with Easter eggs - or hidden references to other movies. In fact, sometimes directors will insert shout-outs to their own work just to see if fans will catch it. Here are some of our favorite hidden movie references!

Movies are a great way to escape the real world for a couple of hours. You can be anyone you want to be, go anywhere you want to go, and do anything you want to do. And while most movies are self-contained stories with their own beginning, middle, and end, sometimes directors will put in little shout-outs to other movies. These references can be as simple as a character's name or as complicated as a full-blown homage scene.
