Weird Joke In 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' May Mean Peter's Worst Romance Is Coming

The Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer has a lot of stuff to take in, from the fact that movies are still coming out in theaters to Doc Ock returning to the fact that Peter is supposed to only be 16 in the film. But one of the most overlooked scenes from the trailer comes right near the beginning when MJ makes a joke about spider-pheromones being how Peter controls her.

But the thing is, this might actually be a setup for one of the weirdest and creepiest moments in a recent Spider-Man comic. You see, at a certain point, a very old idiot kept a young girl locked in a lab for her whole entire life. As soon as she got out and met Spider-Man, the two of them banged. And then kept banging. It was like a door left open in a tornado. Just non-stop. Because, as it turns out, she had spider pheromones. See, Cindy Moon, aka Silk, was a Spider ... look, it doesn't matter; the whole thing involves magical elements, psychic vampires, and her being the reason for the first Spider-Verse comic.

The point is that Silk and Spider-Man were both bit by the same radioactive spider, and because of this, whenever they're together, both of them are consumed by overwhelming spider-lust that makes them spider-bang spider-constantly. Because of all the spider bites.

Despite the fact that she is a heavily PTSD-coded character who has basically a child's knowledge of the world, she became Peter's main squeeze for a while, and that might be happening in the film soon.

While the idea seems out of nowhere, wouldn't you know it, Silk is getting her own live-action series set to debut not too long after No Way Home comes out. After all the potential craziness of this film, could it end with him and MJ breaking up because he just needs to spider french a girl who lived her entire life in a Brendan Fraisier Blast from the Past-esque bunker where she was kept by the magical version of a doomsday prepper?
