Dolly Parton Saved A Child's Life While Filming Her New Christmas Movie

Dolly Parton strikes again! Earlier this week, the country music legend, award-nominated actress, Covid-19 vaccine funder, and pretty much the one thing we all can agree upon in these divisive times, strengthened her status as a national treasure, making headlines for saving a nine-year-old actress from being struck by a vehicle on the set of her new holiday film, Christmas on the Square.

"We were on set, and I was at the hot chocolate station, and they said go back to your beginning positions," Talia Hill, the young actress in question, told Inside Edition earlier this week. "So there was a vehicle moving, and I was walking, and then somebody grabbed me and pulled me back, and I looked up and it was Dolly Parton." The country legend who plays an angel in the film (a.k.a herself), then took a moment to drop the ultimate post-rescue hero one-liner. "Well, I am an angel, you know," she allegedly told the youngster, referencing her character.

Yet the magnitude of the situation still hadn't set in for Hill, who says she was "in shock," as almost anyone would be after having their life saved by America's sweetheart herself. "She hugged me and shook me and said 'I saved your life,'" Hill said. "And my mom was crying, like, 'Yes you did, Dolly Parton, yes you did.'"

In a year marked by tragedy and fear, the country legend seems to have taken it upon herself to make this unprecedented holiday season particularly merry and bright. Aside from releasing her film, she dropped her first seasonal album in three decades, "A Holly Dolly Christmas" and a holiday collection with William Sonoma. Between these ventures, and apparently rescuing her pint-sized costars from oncoming traffic, Parton has even found the time to prerecord a series of glam holiday-themed Dolly-isms, or rhinestone-encrusted words of wisdom.

So Dolly, is there anything you can't do? From helping to stop a global pandemic to literally saving a small child, this woman deserves a Nobel Peace Prize.
